A new book from Professor Munther Dahleh details the creation of a unique kind of transdisciplinary center, uniting many specialties through a common need for data science.

IDSS celebrates our 2025 graduates, including 13 interdisciplinary doctoral degrees in Statistics, 6 Social & Engineering Systems PhDs, and 22 Master of Science degrees in Technology and Policy.

The award is presented to a faculty member from each school who, as a graduate student advisor, demonstrates unbounded compassion and dedication towards students.

Led by researchers including IDSS faculty Esther Duflo, one combination of methods led to a 44 percent increase in child immunizations

Trained with a joint understanding of protein and cell behavior, the model developed by a team including SDSC faculty Caroline Uhler could help with diagnosing disease and developing new drugs.
