Naoki Egami

Political Science

Naoki Egami is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science.  Prior to this, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Columbia University.  He specializes in political methodology and developing statistical methods for questions in political science and the social sciences. Specifically, he works on causal inference and machine learning methods.

He has won several research awards, including the Best Paper Award from the Experimental Research section in APSA in 2024, the Best Conference Paper Award from the Political Networks section in 2022, and the Gosnell Prize for Excellence in Political Methodology from the Society for Political Methodology in 2019.  He recieved his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 2020.
