Congratulations to SDSC’s Moitra and Mazumder, recipients of ONR’s 2018 YIP Award

Congratulations to SDSC’s Ankur Moitra and Rahul Mazumder who are recipients of the highly competitive 2018 Young Investigators Award.  This honor was bestowed upon 31 scientists “whose research holds strong promise across a wide range of naval-relevant science and technology areas”.

Both submitted proposals in the area of Mathematical Data Science.  Mazumder’s proposal is on “Combinatorial Statistical Inference with Mathematical Optimization” and Moitra’s proposal is titled “An Algorithmic Theory of Robustness”.
